"I just don't see it." I've grown accustomed to these words, or words like it, coming from leaders after difficult conversations were had in an attempt to expose false teachers/Christians in the Church. One of my spiritual gifts is discernment, which can be defined as " the ability to distinguish between the true presence of God and the influence of evil or deceptive spirits. " As a woman who has been in ministry for quite some time, I’ve found it particularly challenging having this gift. And in all honestly, sometimes I wish I didn't have it, due to the response I often get when exercising it. There's nothing like the feeling that comes from finally getting up the courage to shine a light on the things the Lord is bringing to your attention about a false leader or false Christian in the Church who is doing harmful things to the body, just to have it downplayed, disregarded, or deflected back onto you.
